"ROCKING SERIES" MEDIUM MIXED MEDIA SCULPTURE

Wood, milk paint and lacquer. 

Turned multi-axis on a wood lathe to create the wedge form and negative space.  They are balanced to rest tilted back poised to rock forward.  They beg physical interaction, but designed to invoke a sense of visual movement while resting.  The base is wider than the top weighted to lower its center of gravity while resting.
