Artist Bio: Norm LeBlanc
Norm is a self-taught woodworker from Davidson, North Carolina. Growing up on a farm required him to develop many hands-on skills. This experience then led to a product design engineering career. Now retired, his passion and skills have taken an artistic path.
He began by designing and building contemporary-craftsman furniture. Most recently his focus has been on creating wood and leather jewelry using a variety of techniques and materials which lend to countless unique designs.
He is currently using both domestic and exotic woods such as Cherry, Rosewood, Sapale, Walnut and Zebra. The wood is sealed with a finish to protect it and only requires to be wiped down with a damp cloth and mild soap as needed.
