AVENTINA-SPENCER GOLDSMITHS AND DESIGNERS
From a private Georgian residence nestled in the seaside village of Glenarm on the scenic Antrim coastline of Northern Ireland, Aventina-Spencer present an eclectic collection of fine jewelry and objects of art. The ever-changing collection is curated with a discerning eye and a clear emphasis on jewelry as art.
Whilst the focus is on unique, one-of-kind, contemporary pieces of wearable art, these jewels are complimented by hand selected treasures spanning all ages of human history. We place great emphasis on education and research in the creation of our exceptional jewelry and the curation of our collection of objects of art.
The Interaction between antiquity and modernity weaves a viscerally enchanting story of the possibilities to come.
Dan Spencer is a Master Goldsmith. After receiving his Bachelor of Fine and Applied Arts from the University of Ulster Belfast, Dan made the transition from sculpture to goldsmithing. After more than 20 years at the bench, his design ethic clearly reflects his sculptural background, post-modernist ethic and passion for experimentation with metallurgical techniques.
After receiving a Bachelor of the Arts in Fine Art from Mercer University in the United States, Ashlee went on to study at the Gemological Institute of America. She is a GIA, Graduate Gemmologist (G.G.) and has over 30 years’ experience in the jewelry trade. Her love of fine art and jewelry history has led to a design ethic inspired by fine European tradition and exploratory use of color and materials.
