Since 2021, Martha Nourse has called Brevard, North Carolina home, where she designs and builds custom wood purses that reflect her passion for craftsmanship and nature. With a professional background in technology, Martha brings a unique blend of precision, problem-solving, and creative thinking to her work. An avid hiker and Carolina Mountain Club trail volunteer, she draws on the textures, forms, and quiet beauty of the outdoors to inspire each piece she creates.

Martha’s wood purses are a marriage of form and function—each one handcrafted with care, using traditional and modern woodworking techniques and a creative design sensibility. Inspired by the natural materials she works with and the landscapes she loves, her creations celebrate simplicity, utility, and lasting beauty.
