Collection: Artist: Marilyn Bailey

  • Marilyn Bailey is a metalsmith artist known for her sculptural, hollow form jewelry and large silver vessels as teapots and reliquaries.

She received her BA from Northern Michigan University (1971) and her MFA in metalsmithing at Cranbrook Academy of Art (1973). She has been recognized internationally for her designs in jewelry and hollow ware with the Saul Bell Design Award (2004, 2005, 2009 and 2019).

Marilyn’s work has been available through the Horchow Collection, Saks Firth Ave., American Crafts Council shows and fine art galleries across the United States, Canada and Australia.

She finds joy in the process of taking a sheet of gold or silver and transforming it with hammers and anvils into a 3 dimensional piece of artwork.
