Collection: Artist: Lucy Miller

  • Lucy Miller loves to breath new life into things made by artists from our past. Her "canvas" may be an old clock, an embossed book cover, softened denim jacket or chipped porcelain plate. Her creations are highly character driven, providing opportunities to craft a new story of your own.

While she pursued higher education in Botany at Colorado State University in Ft. Collins and Science Education at Ohio University in Athens, her first formal art instruction was at the Rockefeller Art Center in Little Rock, AR. She was 5.

Since then, Lucy has sought out teachers in community colleges, continuing education and workshops in Ohio, Florida and North Carolina. She also serves on the advisory board of the ArtBridge Foundation based in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

After a rewarding career in conservation and philanthropy with The Nature Conservancy, she spends most of her days mining the rich Appalachian landscape and culture for source materials to reanimate.
