My cats have yet to meet a plant they didn't want to eat.  They particularly enjoy biting the heads off of flowers, which is why, sadly, flowers in the house are not an option.

Painting calla lilies, for me, is a way to bring them aesthetic appeal into my studio.  They are also a great exercise in abstraction.  Their elegant, structural shape allows me to explore color, contrast in light, shape and structure.

In a house ruled by cats, compromise is often necessary.
