SOPHIE LOTSTEIN ARTIST BIO AND STATEMENT
Sophie is a formally trained goldsmith, dreaming up and creating jewelry in her home studio in Weaverville, NC. She is a North Carolina native, who has found her forever home here in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. She draws her own personal style from a mixture of American Southwest, Bohemian, and Modern Minimalist influences, and gathers daily inspiration from the infinitely marvelous, mountainous landscape that she lives within.
Her small jewelry business, Sun Sparrow Metalsmithing, began in 2017 as a part-time job, and blossomed into a full-time endeavor as 2020 rolled around with its unexpected and unprecedented challenges. Sophie loves to build her jewelry pieces around the magnificent gemstones that she hand-picks from various stone sellers throughout the world. She puts love, care, intention, and gratitude into each piece that she creates. Cheers!
